PRIVACY POLICY
St. Mary & Martyr Marina Coptic Orthodox Church mobile app

This policy describes what information the St. Mary & Martyr Marina Coptic
Orthodox Church app collects and how it is used. The app is provided by
St. Mary & Martyr Marina Coptic Orthodox Church, a registered religious
nonprofit in Gresham, Oregon.


INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Donations. When you give through Apple Pay, we receive your name, email
address, phone number, and billing address from the payment sheet, along
with the donation amount. We use this to record your gift, email you a
receipt, and prepare your year-end giving statement. Card numbers are never
seen or stored by the church; payments are processed by Square and Apple Pay.

Prayer requests. If you submit a prayer request, we store the text of your
request and, if you choose to provide them, your name and contact
information. Requests marked anonymous never include your name. Prayer
requests are visible only to church clergy and staff.

Push notifications. If you allow notifications, a device token is created by
our notification provider (OneSignal) so the church can send you
announcements and live stream alerts.


WHAT WE DO NOT DO

- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside the
  church and its service providers.
- We do not use advertising, analytics trackers, or cross-app tracking.
- We do not knowingly collect information from children. The app can be used
  fully without creating an account or providing any personal information.


SERVICE PROVIDERS

The app uses the following services to operate: Square and Apple Pay
(donation processing), Supabase (database hosting), OneSignal (push
notifications), and Resend (receipt emails). Each receives only the
information needed to perform its function.


DATA RETENTION AND YOUR CHOICES

Donation records are kept as required for the church's financial and tax
reporting. Prayer requests may be deleted by church staff at any time. You
can disable push notifications in your device settings. To ask about,
correct, or delete information the church holds about you, contact us and we
will help.
